Gas Cylinder Testing & Recertification
Periodic inspection and hydrostatic testing to ISO 18119 and EU Pi-mark (TPED) standard, carried out at our Kilmallock facility, with certification paperwork you can hand straight to your customer.
What periodic inspection involves
Every cylinder that comes through our doors goes through the same disciplined process, regardless of what it held or who it belongs to.
- External examination — checking the cylinder shell for corrosion, dents, gouges, fire damage and any deformation that would affect safe use.
- Internal examination — inspecting the internal surface for corrosion, pitting or contamination once the valve is removed.
- Hydrostatic test — pressurising the cylinder with water to a set test pressure to confirm it holds pressure safely and hasn't stretched beyond an acceptable limit.
- Valve inspection — checking the valve and any pressure-relief device, servicing or replacing where required.
- Stamping & certification — cylinders that pass are stamped with the test date and our identification mark, and issued with certification paperwork for your records.

Including CO2 overhaul work for extinguisher servicing companies. See our fire protection page.
Industrial & welding gas cylinders
Oxygen, acetylene, argon, nitrogen and mixed-gas cylinders for gas and welding suppliers.
Beer gas & CO2 cylinders
Dispense cylinders for breweries, pubs and beverage suppliers. See our brewing & beverage page.
Dive & SCBA cylinders
Scuba cylinders and breathing-air cylinders for dive centres and fire services.
LPG cylinders
Propane and LPG cylinders for domestic and commercial use.
Fire suppression system cylinders

Paperwork you can trust
Every cylinder that passes inspection is stamped with the test date and issued with certification confirming it has been tested to EU Pi-mark standard. That paperwork travels with the cylinder — useful for your own compliance records and for reassuring your customers.
Cylinders that fail are held separately and reported back to you, with an explanation of why, rather than being quietly returned untested.
Not sure whether your cylinders tested elsewhere are still valid for use in Ireland? Read our guide: Why Test in Ireland.
The standards we test to
Compliance isn't a footnote for us — it's the reason customers choose to test in Ireland rather than ship to the UK.
ISO 18119
The international standard for periodic inspection and testing of seamless steel and seamless aluminium alloy gas cylinders and tubes. Every cylinder is examined, tested and marked in accordance with it.
TPED & Pi-mark
Periodic inspection under the EU Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (2010/35/EU), so cylinders leave with valid Pi-mark status for use and transport across Ireland and the EU.
ADR
Fully compliant for the carriage of dangerous goods by road. Cylinders are collected, transported and returned legally — no grey areas for your own transport compliance.
