Fire Extinguisher & CO2 Cylinder Testing
Periodic testing and CO2 overhaul for fire extinguisher and fire protection companies — plus the only fire suppression system cylinder service in Ireland. Done here, on a schedule that fits your servicing rounds.
Built around your service schedule
Extinguisher servicing companies work to IS 291 service schedules, with cylinders due periodic inspection at set intervals. When a batch comes due, sending them to Britain means freight, customs paperwork and weeks of downtime — cylinders that should be back on a customer's wall, sitting in transit instead.
We test and, where required, carry out CO2 overhaul work here in Kilmallock, so you can plan your servicing rounds around a predictable Irish turnaround rather than a UK courier schedule.

What we handle
CO2 extinguisher cylinders

Water & foam extinguisher cylinders

Refurbishment & repaint
Shot blasting and repainting so extinguishers look right on a customer's premises, not just test right. See refurbishment.
Fire suppression systems — unique in Ireland
Until now, cylinders from gaseous fire suppression systems — FM-200 (HFC-227ea), Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12), inert gas systems such as IG-541, IG-55 and IG-100, and CO2 total-flooding systems — had to leave the country for periodic testing. We are the only facility in Ireland that is ISO 18119, TPED and ADR compliant and equipped to handle them.
- Periodic inspection and hydrostatic testing of suppression system cylinders to ISO 18119 and TPED.
- Valve and actuator servicing so the cylinder goes back into the system ready to operate.
- Agent refilling — cylinders recharged with the correct suppression agent and weight after testing or a discharge.
- ADR-compliant collection and return of high-pressure and agent-filled cylinders.
- Decommissioning and documented disposal when a system is replaced or a building is stripped out — see cylinder disposal.
